The hotline, which is part of the Federal Chancellery's citizen service, aims, on the one hand, to raise awareness of this issue and, on the other hand, to help those affected to exercise their rights through cooperation with the most important existing anti-discrimination bodies.

The hotline is operated by the Citizen Service team in the Federal Chancellery. They will be happy to help and direct you to the right anti-discrimination agency.
The hotline against discrimination against migrants is a clearinghouse for those affected by discrimination
The hotline listens to the discrimination cases of those affected and, depending on their concerns, refers them to the right anti-discrimination agency.
There are a large number of anti-discrimination agencies in Austria, but the hotline's partner organizations cover the majority of discrimination cases through their advisory services. If there are special circumstances, they can also refer you to special facilities.
The Equal Treatment Ombudsman is an independent, state institution. The basis of their work is the Equal Treatment Act. The Equal Treatment Ombudsman's offer is free and confidential. Those affected should contact the Equal Treatment Attorney if they feel discriminated against in the world of work (private sector) and in various areas of life
At the Equal Treatment Attorney you will receive advice and support, you will receive explanations and will be informed about your rights and your case will be documented. There are 5 advice centers in Austria: Vienna, Graz, Klagenfurt, Linz and Innsbruck. If necessary, a translation can also be organized for the consultation.

ZARA is an advice center for victims and witnesses of racism. People who are confronted with racism or are directly affected by it receive information, support and legal advice from ZARA. Since 2000, ZARA has been running an advice center in Vienna where victims and witnesses of racism can report and receive advice free of charge. The ZARA advisory team consists of legally and socially trained advisors. The support ranges from an initial assessment of incidents to support with legal action.
Specifically, the advice center offers:
ZARA's advisory service is free. The advisory team can be reached by telephone and email/contact form; personal consultation appointments can be arranged by arrangement. In addition, ZARA offers a wide range of educational opportunities in the areas of awareness-raising and moral courage and combats all forms of racism in Austria through campaigns and media work.

Bei besonderen Sachverhalten können diese auch an spezielle Einrichtungen verweisen. Die Gleichbehandlungsanwaltschaft ist eine unabhängige, staatliche Einrichtung. Die Grundlage ihrer Arbeit ist das Gleichbehandlungsgesetz. Das Angebot der Gleichbehandlungsanwaltschaft ist kostenfrei und vertraulich. Personen, die mit Rassismus konfrontiert werden oder unmittelbar davon betroffen sind, erhalten bei ZARA Information, Unterstützung und rechtliche Beratung. ZARA betreibt seit dem Jahr 2000 in Wien eine Beratungsstelle, bei der sich Opfer und Zeuginnen/Zeugen von Rassismus kostenlos melden und beraten lassen können.
